At the end of 2015 Volgo-Baltic Logistic company started elaboration of the delivery project of propeller electric motors intended for last generation icebreakers, 22220 project, from specialized berth in Ust-Slavyanka to «Baltiysky zavod». For the implementation of plan , VBL company has started in June 2016, almost immediately after the opening of navigation on the river.
These engines under the import substitution program will be used in the construction of powerful new generation nuclear icebreaker «Arktika» . Weight of engine 300 tons each, all three motors is for the nuclear-powered icebreaker «Arktika».
Loading was made with ro-ro method, and discharging using floating crane «Demag» on the jetty of Baltiyskiy plant.
